Hi I am Joan Diaz a local of penshurst NSW. I am an independent rescuer who has entered the rescue and TNR operations recently. I am the sole rescuer who is working on and financing the TNR, medical care, fostering and ongoing care of two separate stray cat colonies in Penshurst and Peakhurst. I have already paid well over a 5000 dollars from my pocket towards TNR and other medical expenses since February 2025. I’m running out of both money and time to get these cats the help they need. I need funds to buy traps, to pay for their desexing, vaccination and other medical requirements, post surgery care especially for the females including but not limited to food and litter. I also need cleaning and disinfecting supplies and equipment. I have no rescue funding, I do get discounted rescue rates however this still goes into a few hundred dollars each appointment. There are 50 plus cats in question and as we all know unfortunately most rescues are at capacity and also unable to help financially at this stage. I have so far trapped 19 cats, rehomed 5 and another 7 in foster care looking for homes… My work with the colony depends on my ability to fund this financially and that’s where I need help. I am reaching out to the larger community here to help me out in anyway you can however small your contribution. Please help me help these cats in need. I will include the invoices and expenses I have had so far for your reference.
