Hurricane Dorian Relief Support for the Bahamas

First, Thank you! We made the call and you responded. The IBWPPI Boots on the Ground Initiative-Bahamas Hurricane Dorian Response is activated!
Here is our first update: While the hurricane season continues and the watch for another storm and fear of even more devastation looms, IBWPPI is focused on our one year, long-range plan to provide assistance to 200 families impacted by Hurricane Dorian.
Thank you to those who have donated money and those who’ve donated boots and emergency items for our hygiene kits. Our first shipment is on it’s way to Florida and then the Bahamas!
We are identifying the 200 families via a needs assessment, who were evacuated and are in temporary relocation shelters. These families have immediate needs. Many left without being able to bring anything with them. Some brought just their most important items only. Some lost everything and have nothing.
There has been no decision made about if or when they could return to their homes. We want to be of assistance to them in this current phase of the relocation and then on to restoration.
In addition to using the funds collected through our GoFundMe page, we will use funds collected by donations made through IBWPPI members, supporters, and partners.
