Hurricane Relief San Andres & Providence Islands
Donation protected
My name is Keizzy Archbold, and I was born on a beautiful island named San Andres, a place with beautiful beaches, wooden homes and people who welcome everyone from around the world.
On 11/15/2020 the residents of San Andres & Providencia islands started to feel the effects of Hurricane Iota that at the time was a Category 2 hurricane, but within hours the storm intensified to a Category 5 storm, and the islanders were simply not prepared. Never in my life I would've thought I would fear for the lives of my family there and everyone I grew up with.
Their lives have changed forever as no one could've imagined they would experience such a horrifying and catastrophic event. The devastation and uncertainty of the residents cannot be put in words, they are in need of everything: clothes, food, sheets, tents, toiletries, first aid kits, face masks, shoes, gloves you name it.
I now live in the USA, a country I love as much as my islands, and this is why I am reaching out for help, because this is a country of loving and giving people.
The funds will be used to ship items to the Islands by boat from Miami, FL. We have contacted a maritime shipping company, and they have offered a discounted rate to ship the donations depending on size. We will work with the churches to distribute the donations.
It will mean the world to me, to know they will get some relief soon, and will also know there are good people, who love to lend a helping hand to those in need.
THANK YOU!!
