My name is Akeem Vaccianna, a proud Jamaican raising funds to support family, friends, and fellow residents in my home parish of Westmoreland, who have been devastated by the catastrophic impact of Hurricane Melissa.

Hurricane Melissa was one of the strongest and most destructive hurricanes ever to hit Jamaica. It left a heartbreaking trail of destruction across Westmoreland; places where I grew up now look unrecognizable. Entire communities have been wiped out. Homes are gone, families displaced, and schools, churches, medical facility, and businesses have been reduced to rubble in just a few hours.

Today, many residents remain without electricity, water, or reliable communication. People are struggling to find food, clean water, medicine, and shelter. I could not stand by and watch my community suffer, so I’ve decided to be their voice and take action.

This campaign was created to raise awareness and provide direct relief to the hardest-hit areas of Westmoreland; especially from Little London to Savanna-la-Mar and surrounding communities. Together with a small but committed team, I am working to bring immediate assistance to those who need it most.

Every dollar donated will go directly toward:

Food (non-perishable items)

Clean drinking water

Medical supplies and medication

Diapers and formula for babies

Clothing and toiletries

Supporting the rebuilding of damaged homes and community structures
