I am fundraising on behalf of my sister, Colleen, and her husband, Todd. Todd and Colleen are amazing people who live in Englewood, FL who also care for Todd's ailing father. They were able to save enough money to purchase their home in Englewood, FL in 2020 to be closer to Todd's parents to care for them. Given the complexities of obtaining home insurance in Florida, they ended up having a worst-case scenario where their home was severely damaged during Hurricane Ian but do not have home insurance to cover the damages from the hurricane. They survived a harrowing ordeal having to shelter in place locally with Todd's father while the storm passed directly over their home. Luckily they missed the flooding south of the storm but were unfortunately met with some of the hurricane's strongest winds.

They are now left to have to clean and rebuild their home while also caring for Todd's father. Most of the back of their house was destroyed, the carport landed on their car, trees were uprooted, and debris damaged their siding. Any funding will go towards helping aid in the repair of their home.
