Hurricane Relief for Myra and Daisy
Donation protected
on Friday morning, September 27th, our property was flooded without much preparation nor warning from local officials. we watched in horror as our creek turned into a raging river within a short period. there wasn't anything to do, we just had to ride it out and pray for the best. to make matters worse, the reservoir up the mountain had breached, putting everyone in the lower areas at high risk. thankfully, we were able to escape with our family once the waters receded. we are evacuated and safe, just traumatized, overwhelmed and exhausted.
my car and some of my property was damaged by floodwater. schools are closed indefinitely, so i won't be able to work for awhile. it's going to take weeks, maybe months, to repair the infrastructure in Western North Carolina, so Daisy and i will be essentially homeless during this time.
if you are in a position to help out, any amount goes a long way. i appreciate all the support pouring in during this rough time. thank you.
