My family in Westmoreland, Jamaica, has lost everything after a Category 5 hurricane tore through the area. Their homes were destroyed, leaving them without proper shelter, clothing, or basic necessities. The photos shared show what’s left of their homes after the hurricane. Among those affected are a community of families who are now without a place to live.
I currently live in Canada and will be packing several barrels to send to Jamaica before November 28, as the government has waived all customs and duty fees until that date. Any financial support will go directly toward rebuilding, clothing, and providing essentials for the children and families who have been displaced.
If anyone would prefer to donate items instead, please feel free to reach out to me at [phone redacted]. I can help coordinate a meet-up spot in Edmonton, Alberta or Toronto, Ontario, as well as surrounding areas.
I’m doing this personally to support my family and community, but if you would rather donate directly through the official Government of Jamaica support page, you can visit https://supportjamaica.gov.jm/.
Anything you can give, whether financial or in-kind is deeply appreciated and will make a real difference in helping my family and others in the community get back on their feet. Thank you so much for your compassion and generosity. ❤️
