Hurricane Relief for Madalyn, Rhonda, & Pets!

Hi, this is Allie, Madalyn's daughter. Madalyn and her best friend Rhonda just had their entire Fort Myers home and all of their belongings destroyed in Hurricane Ian. These two women are so selfless and deserve everything good in the world, so I just want to give them a tiny bit of solace while they are dealing with devastation and trying to get on their feet. Your donations will help them buy new clothes, food, other basic supplies, and contribute to any travel and lodging costs. They are facing a major financial hit from this tragedy, so we appreciate any help you can offer.

To give you an idea of what they are dealing with, the storm surge around their house was about 12-15 feet. The house essentially doesn't exist any longer, all windows and doors are busted out, the walls have huge holes in them, there are pieces of furniture lying everywhere, and everything is covered in mud with extreme salt water damage.

They are the most dedicated, kind, and hardworking people I know. They were teachers in the public school system in Florida their entire careers teaching underprivileged children, are recently retired and were looking forward to enjoying retirement.

Their 2 cats were trapped inside during the hurricane and were fortunately rescued, but were covered in the same mud that covered the remains of the house (which is mixed with sewage) and one of their kitties is now fighting an infection. We are also hoping to cover the vet bill that they will have for an x-ray and blood work, which thankfully confirmed that nothing serious was wrong.
