Hurricane Ian Relief for Ed Repp

Donation protected
I am Bob Ashton, and Ed Repp is my Father-in-Law. I reside in Hatfield, PA. This Go Fund Me page is to raise funds to support Ed, who suffered a likely total loss of his house, car, and personal belongings due to hurricane Ian last week.
Anyone who knows our family also knows that we take care of our own and rarely seek assistance. However, the devastation hurricane Ian caused is so severe we are compelled to reach out on Ed's behalf.
Ed has experienced setbacks in his life. At age 89, he does not deserve another moment of hardship. A Korean war vet, he worked hard for over 40 years at Wyeth Laboratories. He then retired to Cape Coral, Florida with his wife Eve and planned to remain there permanently.
It was not an easy time for Ed after losing Eve to a heart attack. She was the matriarch of the Repp family, and all who knew her loved her. She was Ed's guiding angel and kept all his affairs in order. A shady investment firm severely depleted his retirement savings. Ed sold his house in Cape Coral, Florida to save money and reduce his living expenses. He purchased a twin-trailer home in Old Bridge Village retirement community in North Fort Myers, where he resided until last week's disaster.
Ed could not insure his home because it was built in a high-velocity hurricane-risk area. We attempted to help acquire homeowners insurance for him to no avail. He was fortunate for over 20+ years to have had no significant incidents.
Our intent is not to portray Ed as a victim or invoke pity due to his misfortunes. All Ed wanted was to live out the remainder of his life peacefully at Old Bridge Village, and until last week, that was his journey.
We will help Ed, yet his temporary living expenses and unknown ability to qualify for FEMA assistance leaves us in a very precarious position. The loss of his house, car and personal belongings will likely exceed $200,000. He will get financial help and support from us, yet we are unsure what relief he would qualify for, if any. We are working on it as best as we can.
Any donations you give will go directly to Ed and his current living needs. Any remainder will go towards whatever future accommodations we can arrange for him. It may be his house can be restored. It may be he will qualify for a FEMA loan. We just don't know his future at this moment. Even if he qualifies for a FEMA loan to repair or rebuild his home, it would be quite some time before any assistance is realized. Any aid you can give in the meantime is very much appreciated.
Please consider helping Ed; he deserves it.
