Hurricane Relief for Brenda & Roger Stewart
Donation protected
My name is Michael Newkirk. My family and I have started this GoFundMe in hopes of helping two special people very close and dear to our hearts, my grandparents.
Brenda (83) and Roger Stewart (80) survived the destruction of Hurricane Ian, living only a few miles away from Ft Myers Beach. Their home was ravished in the storm, ripping away almost everything they owned and only leaving what was left of their home and belongings in a pile of devastation.
When projections for the storm took a turn for the worst, they were forced to make a decision to evacuate the area. With little time, they were able to retreat with the clothes they were wearing, their Weimaraner Misty, and a small number of personal treasures they were luckily able to squeeze into their vehicle.
Being a manufactured home in that area, it was uninsurable for flood damage. 100 percent of the funds donated will be given to the Stewarts to help rebuild everything they’ve lost.
I’ve been thankful every day that they are alive and well physically. Still, after recently struggling with medical issues and the effects of this relentless storm, all of their resources have been left exhausted.
Seeing what it has put my family through over the past few days has made me realize we need the help of our community. We humbly understand that these current times are challenging for many, if not all of us, but ANYTHING helps.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for every ounce of your support!
