My name is Patty and I'm fundraising for mom Maria "Blasita" Jacinto who is a kind-hearted, loving, caring, sweet, humble, selfless, exceptional woman. She has helped the hungry, the homeless, the needy and anyone who has crossed and crosses her path in her life, here in USA as well as her hometown in Acapulco, Guerrero. She's 75 years old, with diabetes and trying to live her last years peacefully back home. That dream was taken away when the unforecasted and exceptional suddenness by which Otis strengthened from a tropical storm to a category 5 hurricane in less than 3 days. Her home was destroyed by 3-4 feet of water. If you have seen the news, the images speak for themselves. It is sad and heartbreaking to see all the devastation this hurricane caused. There's no food and water available. Her words "I have lost everything but not my faith". She has faith in God and the good-hearted people who care about the innocent kids and the elderly. She has faith that her grandchildren living with her will have their home back. We ask that you find it in your hearts to help my mom get back some of what she lost. Ese sueño se le arrebató cuando ocurrió lo imprevisto y excepcionalmente repentino con el que Otis se fortaleció de tormenta tropical a huracán categoría 5 en menos de 3 días. Su casa fue destruida por 3 o 4 pies de agua. Si han visto las noticias, las imágenes hablan por sí solas. Es triste y desgarrador ver toda la devastación que causó este huracán. No hay comida ni agua disponibles. Sus palabras "Lo he perdido todo menos mi fe". Tiene fe en Dios y en las personas de buen corazón que se preocupan por los niños y los ancianos inocentes. Tiene fe en que sus nietos que viven con ella recuperarán su hogar. Les pedimos que encuentren en sus corazones el deseo de ayudar a mi mamá a recuperar algo de lo que perdió.
