My name is Fernanda Toledo. I am originally from Acapulco, Mexico. I Have been living in Ireland for the past 4 years.

Acapulco is a beautiful city that I call home. It has been left totally devastated due to Hurricane Otis. Peoples homes and Business have been destroyed.

Hurricane Otis was category 5, which made landfall on October 25th 2023 in Acapulco, Guerrero and has left thousands of people homeless. Flooding and winds have caused widespread damage in the city, leaving many families homeless, without food or clean water.

My family, who live in Acapulco, have been one of those affected by the Hurricane. Their houses were flooded, and they lost all their furniture, clothes, belongings and livelihoods. There is very little food and clean water as there is no electricity in the city.

My family are living in temporary accommodation. They are safe but still need help to get back on their feet.

Acapulco is a beautiful city that I call home. It has been left totally devastated. Peoples homes and Business are destroyed.
