Tudors Biscuit World is a locally owned franchise based restaurant out of West Virginia. We are one of the few locations outside of the state located in Panama City, FL. We employ a hard working staff of 26 employees, who have now turned into family.
Panama City was hit by Hurricane Michael and the town is now left devastated without power, water, and basic necessities. As of Thursday, October 11, 2018, we still have not heard from 5 out of our 26 employees. Due to the devastating aftermath of the hurricane, almost all of our employees homes are severely damaged and they are now left homeless for the next few weeks. Our restaurant has been left severely damaged, but compared to others on the street we have been blessed. We have a generator and have open our doors to employees, their families and first responders. Once electricity becomes available, it will take us up to a month to be fully operational. This now leaves our 26 employees without basic necessities, bi-weekly paychecks, and a place to sleep at night. We are asking for your prayers and any aid you can provide to assist in helping them feel at peace while they build their lives back together.
Owners, Nick and Cara are set to get married on October 13th in Pittsburgh. Many employees were planning to attend, some of which would experience their first plane ride! Unforutnately Nick did not excape before the Hurricane Michael hit. He rode it out inside our restuarant with three friends, one employee, a local WWII Veteran and 7 dogs! Cara has arrived in Pittsburgh and is patiently awaiting the interstate to reopen to allow Nick to drive north. We are asking that each guest bring a gift to donate to our employees for us to drive back down to Florida.
Please continue to pray for Panama City, we have a long rode ahead of us, but if we stand together, we will be stronger than Hurricane Michael.
