Hurricane Mellisa has left a devastating impact on the western parts of Jamaica. Communities such as Savanna-la-Mar, Petersfield, Red Hills, Bluefields, Black River, Little London, Darliston, Burnt Savanna, Grange Hill, West End, Saint James Parish, and more are facing unimaginable loss. Many families have lost their homes, access to clean water, and the basic necessities needed to survive.
My name is Mori Daley, founder of Travels By Mori, alongside my husband (Linval Daley) and Jamaica holds a very special place in our heart. After moving back to connect to my roots, I fell in love with the country, its culture, and — most of all — its people., whereas Linval calls Jamaica home. Jamaicans are some of the most resilient, loving, and generous individuals I’ve ever met. Seeing the destruction left behind by Hurricane Mellisa has been heartbreaking.
Right now, I’m working directly with local community leaders and volunteers to bring help where it’s needed most. Your donations will allow our team to continue to focus on providing clean water, medical supplies, flashlights, generators, gas, sleeping bags, beds, mattresses, clothing, diapers, baby food, and toiletries — especially to rural communities that are often the last to receive aid.
At this time, Travels By Mori is the main and only sponsor of these relief efforts. We have already begun providing assistance out of our own pocket, but the need is overwhelming, and we can’t do it alone.
This GoFundMe will allow us to continue delivering immediate relief and help families begin rebuilding their lives.
Every dollar raised will go directly toward supplies and recovery efforts — no middleman, no overhead costs, just direct help to those who need it most.
Your contribution — no matter how big or small — can make a real difference in helping Jamaica heal. Whether you give, share, or pray for those affected, your support means the world.
Thank you for standing with us and with Jamaica as we work together to restore hope, strength, and stability to these incredible communities.
With gratitude,
Mori Daley
