Now i am on a good move to do more to help others, who needs it more . I would even like to help reroof the church aswell, realizing that most of the effective help is coming from the people whoes family and well wishers is putting help directly in the hands of the affected people.
Thanks alot once more.

Help Rebuild my Home & Community Studio for the youths in St Elizabeth, Jamaica

Hello — thank you for taking a moment to read my story. My name is Ernice Smith, and I live in the parish of St. Elizabeth in Jamaica. On October 28, 2025, our community was devastated by Hurricane Melissa, a Category 5 storm that hit our region with historic strength.

When the hurricane came through, my home—along with my recording studio, which I built for the youth in our community—was destroyed. The very place where young people gathered to learn, create and grow is now in ruins. My neighbours are also suffering: several families have lost their homes, and the entire area needs urgent rebuilding.

I’m starting this fundraiser to raise £4000 or equivalent in Jamaican dollars) to help:

Rebuild my home and Proud to be produtcion studio. So my family has a safe place to live.

Reconstruct the community recording studio, so the youth have a place to gather again.

Provide support to neighbours in St. Elizabeth who have lost their homes, so we can rebuild together.

Every donation counts. Whether it’s a small amount to help buy materials, or sharing this campaign to spread the word — your support means the world. After the storm, our community was already under enormous pressure: roads washed out, power and water supplies disrupted, homes destroyed.
in.

How the funds will be used:

£1000 – Roofing materials and labour: sheet metal, wood, and work to secure the roof.

£500 – Windows and interior repairs: replace broken glass, fix up ceilings and walls after the water damage.

£500 – Furniture replacement: a few beds, chairs, and household items that get ruin.

£300 – Studio refurbish: cleaning, wiring, and touch-up so the space can be used again.

£500 – Computers and electronics: replace damaged system audio componiant and accessories for recording.

Any help at all — big or small — will go straight toward rebuilding and getting things back in order. I give thanks for every bit of love, prayer, and support.

Respect and gratitude,
Ernice Smith

If you are able to contribute, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this link with your friends, family, and social networks — we need all the help we can get.

With your kindness, hope and solidarity, we believe our home and our studio can rise again — stronger and more resilient than before. We are determined to rebuild—for ourselves, for our neighbours, and for the young people who deserve a place to create.

Thank you so much for your time, your generosity, and your belief in our vision.
Warmest regards,
Ernice Smith
