Hurricane Melissa has devastated communities across Jamaica, leaving families in Saint Elizabeth Parish wondering how they’ll ever recover. Homes have been destroyed, roads washed out, and entire communities are without power, clean water, or shelter.

We are a Canadian-Jamaican family from London, Ontario, and our loved ones are among those hardest hit. Seeing them go through this has been heartbreaking and we can’t stand by while they’re struggling to survive. We are raising funds to provide immediate relief and to personally travel to Jamaica to help them rebuild and recover.

What’s Needed Most?

Right now, families in Saint Elizabeth urgently need:

• Generators and solar-powered equipment to restore access to electricity

• Clean drinking water and filtration supplies

• Men’s clothing and workwear for rebuilding efforts

• Hand tools and building materials to repair homes

• Baby and children’s necessities such as diapers, formula, and clothing

• Volunteers and skilled helpers willing to assist with reconstruction

Many families are forced to travel long distances just to charge their phones and stay in touch with loved ones… An added hardship on top of losing nearly everything. They are sleeping in unsafe and uncomfortable conditions, trying to find a sense of normalcy in the middle of chaos.
