Its never easy to lose someone close to you, but when you lose the person who gave you life the world completely stops. There is this overwhelming feeling of being alone.

Early Tuesday morning I was awakened by the phone call I knew one day would come.

And it was surreal.

One can never quite prepare themselves for that moment.

It was destined that I would be blessed with enough time to be by her side and hold her hand as she took her last breath so she would not die alone.

I am grateful that it went quick and her suffering is finally over.

Our road was long and painful but I will hold on to pockets of fun times and beautiful moments we did have.

Saundray Ella, you touched many many people along your journey and you will surely not be forgotten.
