Destruction of Providencia
The Colombian island of Providencia was subject to a category 5 hurricane (the most destructive of its kind) and it completely flattened the island damaging 98% of the islands infrastructure, including my mum's house, our family home that was built by my Dad, which also partly functioned as Windy View Guesthouse as my mum's only source of income.
The hurricane, apart from being the most scary experience you could go through, left Martha locked in the bathroom with her pets for 10 hours hoping the house was not going to collapse on her. This event has left everything she knows in pieces and we really need your help in rebuilding it once more.
We are calling on all friends, family and previous guests, who got to enjoy Windy View with us, to offer any donation they can to help us clear up all the damage and start to rebuild the house, buy essentials and food for the wonderful pets (that magically survived the storm).
However small, everything will make a huge difference....
It will be a slow process as everything for the rebuild will need to be transported from the mainland once it is safe.
A spending report will be shared with you all as well as updates through all this.
Thank you so much for everything in advance,
