Hurricane Ida Relief for The Adams and Teague Fam
Hi there to all who are reading!
My name is Audra Adams, I live in Winston Salem, NC and I have started this Go Fund Me for my family in Hammond, LA.
They suffered a direct hit from Hurricane Ida, and their lives look a lot different today than yesterday!
The family homestead is uninhabitable as the wind ripped off the roof, carport, and back patio. There is standing water inside because of the roof damage.
The siblings homes have been damaged significantly, and we are not sure the threat is over for flooding!
The children are displaced, and Nana and Papa can only do so much physical labor!
Jeremy and Jenny, have lost so much today, and have a long road ahead!
Lamar and Heather are managing to keep things together on a wing and a prayer!
No electricity, no way to get the water out, trees are down everywhere, and gas for the generator to run a fridge is scarce, and is only going to become harder to find in the coming days.
Trees are uprooted, the flood waters are still rising, and access to essential items are limited.
My family have served others as missionaries for over 30 years! Mike and Donna Adams, continue to go throughout the world’s prisons to let people know they are cared for no matter what they have done!
They give to OTHERS, they NEVER would ask for help, but they desperately need it!
We are planning to gather supplies in the coming days to take to them, and others.
We plan on buying water, tools, tarps, fuel, food….and the list will go on as the coming days dictate the needs.
I have begun our goal at $5,000. I know it will take much more, but any amount helps us to organize and get them, and as many others as we can help, started in the rebuilding process!
Thank you for your gift!! If you don’t know my family, trust me, they have given their whole lives to serve others…let’s show them how much we care!
Sincerely,
Audra
