Hurricane Ida Relief for South Louisiana
Our names are Jaimie and Tammy....we are the Bivens girls originally from Bourg, LA....a small bayou town in lower Terrebonne Parish which was highly impacted from Hurricane Ida. We both currently live out of state...Jaimie in Nashville, Tennessee and Tammy in Canton, Texas...and we feel helpless. Our hearts are breaking for all of our family and friends who are deeply affected by this disaster so we decided to do what we know best and that's to fundraise. While all of Terrebonne Parish is trying to clean up the aftermath, please help us raise funds for the community's upcoming needs in memory of our father, Jimmy Bivens, who dearly loved his bayou....STHS Class President '63!
UPDATE: UPPER LITTLE CAILLOU AND GRAND CAILLOU SCHOOLS HAVE TO RELOCATE TO OTHER SCHOOLS AND BOURG ELEMENTARY'S PRE-K AND K BUILDING HAS BEEN DESTROYED. WE JUST GOT WORD THAT THE TEACHERS HAVE BEEN DENIED HELP FROM FEMA BECAUSE IT IS UNDETERMINED WHAT IS DISTRICT BOUGHT VS PERSONALLY BOUGHT. THE BIVENS SISTERS WILL HELP GET THESE TEACHERS BACK ON THEIR FEET AND HELP STOCK THEIR CLASSROOMS AS BEST AS THEY CAN! WE WILL BE FULFILLING ALL THEIR NEEDS VIA LAKESHORE LEARNING AND USING THE MONEY TO BUY WHAT’S ON THEIR WISH LIST AS WELL AS ANYTHING THAT MAY ARISE!
