Hurricane Ida Relief for LaPlace, LA

LaPlace, LA and St. John the Baptist Parish were devastated by Hurricane Ida. Homes were lost, residents are displaced, gas is scarce, and hotels are booked up for miles as residents struggle without power or water in some homes. New Wine Christian Fellowship serves the LaPlace community during these times by acting as a shelter for those rescued from their homes due to intense flooding, providing meals for those in need due to the hurricane, and simply trying to meet the needs of those affected during this time. MTMV Sports, The VL Foundation, The Kia Cares Foundation, and Trackstarz would like to send some aid to New Wine Christian Fellowship as they continue to serve the St. John Parish community.

My name is Ernest Ricks and I am the owner of the MTMV Sports Podcast Network. I was raised as a proud member of the LaPlace, LA community. As a young man, I witnessed the New Wine Christian Fellowship do incredible things for the youth of the parish. They built a community center and would frequently hold a variety of events to unite the community. Hearing about the devastation in LaPlace shook me to my core. There are so many people there that I know and love. Nakia Ricks of The Kia Cares Foundation informed me that as people were being rescued from their homes they were being given shelter at New Wine. She also informed us that New Wine was providing meals for those in the community as well. The leaders of the four organization listed above are combining our efforts to raise money for the church to continue to provide this much needed support for those in need.

The funds will be collected and go directly to New Wine Christian Fellowship.
