We are the Rodriguez Family from Piscataway, NJ.

The recent storm flooded our towns sewer causing extreme water back up into our home. The water back up caused a lot of damage, including structural damage. Unfortunately, even though we have insurance, they're not helping with much of the damage at all.

A large portion of the damage has affected my mother in law directly who is quadriplegic and in a wheelchair. Her entire room flooded as well as the living room which deteriorated her ramp preventing her from moving around the house. This situation has also directly affected our 3 children who are in a home that flooded with dirty, sewage back up infected waters. 

Asking for help such as this is not something we wanted to do but, something we have to do in order to ensure our family lives in a safe environment, especially having asthma which is aggravated due to mildew and mold. 

We are in urgent need of help. Thus, we are asking for support to help us through the process of fixing our home. There is no doubt that we are a hard working couple who stops at no end to provide for our family. However, with this storm Ida, we most definitely met our match.

The funds will be spent in repairs to our home including the living room, my Mother in Law's bedroom, her bathroom, the garage and other affected areas in our home.
