Hurricane Ida help for Maycoll and Cinthia

Maycoll and Luis Cobán have been part of the Micah Project family since we first met them in 2009. They moved into the Micah House in 2011, and in 2015 their mother was able to get the legal paperwork to bring them to New Orleans, where she had lived since they were young. Their reunion with US family has not been easy, but they have both worked hard and forged a new life in the US. When Hurricane Ida was approaching New Orleans last week, Maycoll and his wife Cinthia decided to evacuate, especially since she is expecting their first baby in the next week. The home that they had been renting was hit hard, and most of their personal belongings were ruined due to water damage, as well as everything that they had bought in preparation for their baby girl.

Maycoll works helping to paint the interior and exterior of homes, and they returned to New Orleans yesterday and are currently sleeping on mattresses on the floor of a relative's home, and worrying about what they are going to do. As their extended Micah family, we would like to come together to bless and encourage them as they start over, and especially since they have very little time before their daughter is due to be born. We have put together this GoFundMe to help cover the $845 monthly rent (and deposit) on a new apartment, and so that they can replace some of the clothes and other basic furniture that they lost.
