August 29,2021 Hurricane Ida came through southwest Louisiana and for many of us our lives will never be the same. As my children and I, hit for cover in our bathroom we prayed to God for favor. My husband frantically tried to secure our home. When the wind finally settled we saw our home and neighborhood in disarray. Trees uprooted , and pushing homes beyond their breaking point. Our roof distorted an in pieces with water dripping from the ceiling we are faced with rebuilding.  Damage in every room.  My 4 year old now is having trouble with the weather and sleeping. My 8 year old with Autism losing so much of the gains by all of the inconsistency. He is more recluse. The expenses keep increasing each day. With little to no help most families have only received $500 from FEMA and our disaster food SNAP interview not for another month we are stretched so thin. Any help from you would be greatly appreciated.
