Hi, we are Liz Cova and Casey Jack. Like many people in Florida, the recent hurricane has left my family (myself, my boyfriend and our three animals) in a precarious situation. As hurricane ian moved through Florida, nobody thought it would cause so much damage, especially in central Florida, where we are current students at UCF. The storm left historic flooding in the area, and as I anchored in my apartment, I watched my car submerge farther and farther under the flood water through my window. We mostly accepted that we would be stuck without transportation; two days later, our apartment complex terminated our lease following an inspection claiming our building was uninhabitable. As college students who already struggle financially, we now have no home or vehicle. For those of you who know Florida, you understand how difficult it is to get around without a car.

The primary purpose of this fundraiser is to humbly ask for any help (including sharing) for us to be able to get a reliable vehicle so we can get to our mon-Fri classes at UCF while we search for a new home for our little family.
