Hurricane Ian Relief- The Morehouse Family

Hello all, my name is Valerie Morehouse, and I am creating this fundraiser to help my brother, his two children, and my stepfather as they are forced to start from scratch and rebuild after losing their property and everything they own to Hurricane Ian in Fort Myers, Florida.

Unfortunately, when Hurricane Ian ravaged Ft. Myers on September 28th, my family lost everything they owned, their homes and even their vehicles. Ian brought 6ft of storm surge into their homes, followed by a toxic sludge as the water receded. There was nothing that we were able to salvage, and their apartments will need extensive demolition from the waste and mold damage.

We are so grateful for anything you can offer to help through the uncertainty of the coming months and as they start to rebuild their lives from scratch.

All donations will be delivered directly to Perry’s bank account and used to purchase clothes, living room and bedroom furniture, children’s toys, necessary electronics, appliances, and kitchenware. Many of our friends and family members from afar have been asking how they can help and this fundraiser is a great start!
