Hurricane Ian Relief Fund for Habanec-Hess family

My name is Kirsten. I've started this fundraiser for my brother Kyle Habanec, his love Cortni Hess and their sweet 17-month-old daughter, Haili.

Kyle and Cortni were raised in Lancaster, PA and started dating after high school in 2012. In 2018 they packed up all their belongings, plus their six cats, and followed their dreams of living in the sunny state of Florida. The big move also brought them closer to Cortni's mom and stepdad. They rented a small home in Lehigh Acres and started jobs to build the life they loved.

On May 2nd, 2021, they welcomed their biggest blessing, their beautiful baby girl Haili. It was time to plant their roots for their growing family, and in November 2021, they bought their first home in Port Charlotte, Florida.

Less than a year later, Hurricane Ian inundated their home on September 28th, 2022. We are beyond thankful that they evacuated in time and are all safe. But they lost nearly everything in this devastating disaster. Their home is unhabitable, and most of their belongings are destroyed, including their car.

Asking for help is such a difficult thing to do. But I also know how many people love this family and want to do anything they can to help them rebuild. It will be a very long road, but Florida is strong, and so are they. Any donation you can offer will make a difference. The fundraising goal will go towards their home and car deductibles.
