My cousin Erika Evans and her family lost everything when Hurricane Ian hit Fort Myers. Erika, her husband Ronnie, and her kids, Vanessa and Trevor, are lucky to be alive following the surging waters that overtook their home. They had to escape through a broken window to the roof, where they sat for 3 hours before swimming to a nearby neighbor's home. Their home was completely destroyed, along with their three cars, phones, and all of their belongings. They lost their family pets, two bunnies and two hamsters, but were able to get out with their two dogs. They are currently staying with friends and family, who also have no power or water. I am collecting funds to help them rebuild their lives and start over again after such a horrific disaster. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your kindness and generosity!
