Hurricane Ian relief for Steve and Kathy

Hello Family and Friends,

Thank you all so much for the outpouring of support for Steve Miller and Kathy Hale Boston, after the complete loss of their home on Fort Myers Beach. Hurricane Ian decimated the entire island, we know so many are in need, and we ask that you continue to pray for all families.

Kathy evacuated, but Steve stayed on the island. He and his friend Rob Zolman had started a small business together in their post-retirement years. They managed condos for snowbird clients (mainly from Ohio) or those away for extended periods. Steve wanted to be there after the hurricane to provide help to those clients who had entrusted them to check on their property post-hurricane. Total and complete destruction of the island was never expected.

They are planning to apply for FEMA assistance. The most urgent need now is for housing, clothing, personal items, and reliable transportation.

They appreciate all the calls and text messages and offers of help. We are setting this page up for them so that there is one place for friends, family, and colleagues to help. This has been a trauma that they are only beginning to wrap their heads around, and as much as they want to respond right away, they are having a hard time retelling the story over and over as they fight through the tears. Please feel free to send your messages to them here as well. They will read them and respond to each when they are able. For now, they want us to express their heartfelt thanks to all of you.
