On September 28, 2022, Hurricane Ian ripped through our parents' homes and took away everything that they own and have worked so hard all of their lives to have. We are very thankful that all 4 of them + their cat + 2 dogs are all safe and can live with us in Nashville until they are able to rebuild their homes. We are trying to make the process of rebuilding and working through the trauma of the destruction as easy for them as possible. We would like to raise money for them to use to rebuild both of their homes.

Zach's (Ben and Kay Baker) parent's house suffered the worst damage of their two homes after taking on 6+ feet of water. Their boat was crushed and their boat dock was destroyed. They watched their camper float away on its side down the road. Their enclosed trailer was also flipped on its side and their truck is totaled due to water damage. Fortunately, they have flood insurance and we are hoping that this will help with most of their costs.

Paige's (Phil and Vicki Harris) parent's house took on 2 feet of water in the house and 3 feet of water in the garage. Their car is totaled due to water damage and they have severe drywall damage + mold inside their home. Their homeowner's insurance will not cover water damage of any kind in their home and they do not have any flood insurance.

All 4 of our parents retired to Fort Myers over the past five years to relax and enjoy the warm weather. Our once happy place is now devastated and we are not sure when they will be able to return to living somewhat normal lives in their homes.
