My name is Ana and I live in NJ. As you all know Hurricane Ian devastated southwest Florida this week. Luckily my mom, stepdad, and 90 year old grandfather were able to evacuate the night before the storm. The next 48 hours were filled with dread as we watched the hurricane and it’s aftermath unfold. 

When they made their way back to Fort Meyers yesterday they returned to complete devastation. The house they just purchase 3 weeks ago was completely flooded. The whole complex they lived in has been condemned. 

My mom, stepfather, and grandfather have lost their home, one of their cars, and all of their belongings. The next months will be an extremely trying time as they processes their trauma and loss, which had no financial insurance. They will have to complete rebuild their lives from scratch. 

My mom and stepdad are they type of people that will give you the clothes off their back and despite all the hardships they’ve been through they would never ever ask for help.

I will be raising money on their behalf to cover shelter, clothing, medications, and whatever else they need to begin to rebuild their lives.
