Hurricane Ian Devastation Raul Adorno Home
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Norma I. Adorno, daughter of Raul Adorno. My parents have lived & worked in Fort Myers, FL. since the early 1960s. It is with great sadness and heartbreak that I share the following story. On September 28th, Hurricane Ian pulverized SWFL leaving my parent's home flooded and destroying all of their valued possessions. My father's business also took a tremendous hit (Adorno's Lawn service), where he served many of his clients on Sanibel Island, FL, for over 30+ years. All his lawn equipment, tractors and work trucks were submerged in water, including my parent's primary vehicles and Dad's beloved antique cars & motorcycle. My parents are both elderly, and we have been working around the clock cleaning and throwing out all damaged items. They are living with me until their home can be renovated (the interior, exterior & roof need total repairs). Unfortunately, my parents canceled their homeowners/flood insurance due to rising monthly costs of over $3K, which they could not afford, so needless to say, there is a lot of work and expenses ahead of us. We need your help and support to get them back on their feet and into their beloved home of 50 years in the Fort Myers community. Your kindness and generosity will be greatly appreciated! Please share our story with your family & friends. Thank you for opening your hearts and helping Raul and Bienvenida Adorno rebuild & recover from Hurricane Ian. God Bless!
With much gratitude and appreciation,
Norma I. Adorno
