Our Family Home Destroyed from Hurricane Ian

Donation protected
“The largest barrier island off Florida’s Gulf Coast, Pine Island has been largely cut off from the outside world. Ian heavily damaged the only bridge to the island, leaving it only reachable by boat or air”.

Hurricane Ian’s devastating destruction ripped through my father’s home on Pine Island, taking half of his house, boat, jet ski and most of his personal belongings. Hardly any of the items left behind are salvageable.

For those of you that know my dad, know that he would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. Now he doesn’t have any extra shirts to give. While I’m planning to help personally, I hope others who are able to help will - he would never ask. This was a hard post to make as I take after my dad - helping but not asking for it in return.

His life in Florida was built from scratch after he lost everything he had in 2014 in a horrible motorcycle accident caused by a drunk driver. It took him years to get back on his feet, which was still a work in progress.

We are forever grateful that my family survived Hurricane Ian and remain heartbroken for all those affected. Sadly, we continue to witness the horrifying aftermath caused by the storm.

Any donations will go directly towards securing housing and purchasing necessary items to assist during this transition period. Ideally, my dad and family will have an opportunity to rebuild his home one day soon.

Thank you in advance for your kindness and generosity! We appreciate all the love and support!
