Hurricane Helene survivors bridge outta hell

For those of you that have been following my post and the hell that hurricane Helene brought to Asheville, Nc with my small town 15 mins outside of Avl being one of if not the worst hit areas as there is no Swannanoa, Nc left anymore. Just shattered homes, leveled businesses, broken dreams and lost lives on top of all the missing people we’re still searching and digging for. In all that darkness there is light and hope to be found and it was flown and convoyed into us survivors all the way from Dickson, Tn. After losing our home to a mudslide, enduring hellish conditions no food, no water, trapped on what little land still hanging onto the mtn side that we shared with 5 other houses (3 of which are elderly people) one on life support the other two on oxygen and all looking to me for help even tho as calm as I seemed I secretly typed out a partial plea for help despite knowing all power and phones were done for and with our vehicles and all of us were just as trapped on this ticking time bomb of a mtn we all lovingly called home. From giving in to despair so I used it as a way to vent without letting the ppl Who for some reason deemed me the calmest therefore responsible for their and their families lives see that even I was starting to give up instead I held my calm demeanor and poured my last hope into that msg hopeful it would be found if the worst came to pass as it felt it had as we all poired our blood sweat, Tears And money into our homes especially me and jess as

We fought corporate real estate buyout companies grabbing houses sight unseen to get, it wasn’t perfect but it was ours and we poured our all into making it a home we were proud to call our own slice Of mountain paradise but it’s done for as we feared those of us trapped here and we’re as well but somehow someone got a msg to the right person bar the right time as I had began to build a bridge to hike out for help I got a call that worked it was my dad and step mom with news someone from my hometown with connections sent helicopters for me which i thought there’s no way and right as we were out of water, food, elderly were out of oxygen and life saving meds I was sent the name of who sent the fury of Dickson, Tn after me and knew instantly I heard it that it was real despite the NC guys doubting my word as it seemed impossible to believe only 30 Mins after finding out anyone knew we were trapped but sure enough helicopters appeared and a godsend that saved the lives of alot of people in this town almost my entire community Dickson county, white bluff, Clarksville and Charlotte representing came

In seal team six style and literally saved alot of lives and are still doing so now. The rescue police and fire here are covered with the devastation, looting and recovery of the dead and missing so I applaud them but never have I been so proud to be a country boy from Tn that sent a call for help and damn it did these Nc boys faces drop when guys popped over the ridge in helicopters sent

By kayla Williams (Carter) right as i was even starting to worry this may be the last day with the woman who is the reason my heart beats beneath my chest and wondering if I truly did all I could to save them. Not only did Kayla’s husband and the most badass rescue team leader I’ve been honored enough to meet bring helicopters and saved lots of lives he even led a convoy in here to get supplies to the entire town when all other rescue teams and fire dept were tied saving ppl from

Roofs. Luke and kayla thank yall so much today nobody will forget how strong Tn came when one of its own sent the call out! Luke led a convoy to me and even understood why I wouldn’t leave without getting my people to safety and fuel to save a man’s life on life support which I was able to do when people donated and sent help. Everyone here keeps asking who am I and what makes me so important that green berets and special forces guys came descending from helicopters looking for and didn’t stop til they made it into the pits of hell with enough water and bad assery to put out the hellfire for everyone.

Theories ranged from senators son to son of a mob or cartel boss so the looks when i simply replied, Me, I’m nobody important…

Just a country boy from Dickson county, Tennessee who sent out a call and in case yall didn’t notice we take care of our own in Tn! Anyone who donated thank you so much but unfortunately cash app sent it all back immediately due to clogging up their system with disaster relief help. Me and Jess used our savings to get food and water while waiting for help and we’re still in desperate need of a bridge. We found an Army Core of Engineers unit willing to move us up the list for what we were told was very reasonable for a bridge to cross a 15 foot span of collapsed road and get the cars and elderly that can’t use the bridge I built to cross on foot.
