Hurricane Helene Relief in Boone and greater Western NC

Hi friends! I am currently living in Boone, NC and this past weekend we saw the worst flood Boone has seen since 1940… or maybe ever. The damage is heartbreaking and so many people are without homes, water, food, etc.

I can thankfully share I am safe and have these resources myself, but I am the minority as so many of my hospital coworkers and Boone neighbors remain without power and water. I desperately want to help these people and families.

Many of you have asked me how you can help so I’ve decided the best way to do this with you all scattered across the US is to collect donations and I will be making a trip to Costco to purchase supplies to provide organizations and individuals across western NC.

These people are expected to be out of power for a month + …. so it truly makes me begin to think about all the amenities we take for granted such as light, or flushing the toilet!!

Thank you in advance for your support and although the community is devastated, I am thankful for the kindness tragedy seems to bring out, it is truly inspiring to see the community come together the way it has.
