HURRICANE HELENE RELIEF FOR AMY LEE BRADDY

Hey everybody,

My name is Matthew Braddy. I am Amy Lee's oldest son. My sister Maddison, my brother Mason, and myself are in surreal shock as many of you all know there has been devastation in my mother's area of Henderson & Rutherford county in North Carolina. Today is Monday 9/30/2024, the storm hit on 9/25/24. She still has no power. I knew my mother was going to lose power once the storm began on Tuesday 9/24 and Wednesday 9/25. This is when the messages and phone calls stopped and we all began to worry...I DID GET A 5 minute distressed and heartbroken CALL FROM HER ON SUNDAY 9/29/24 and SHE IS SAFE & UNHARMED. She currently has no power, no cell service, no running water, her bottom floor of her home is flooded ( this is where she has all of her rooms that she rents, which allow her to create her income), and access to her property is very very difficult. She has a creek that runs through the front of her property that has displaced the bridge to one of her driveways, the bridge has collapsed. Her other driveway is washed away as well. She has two entrances to her house which both are destroyed.

Over the past three years my mother worked SOLO to build her beautiful sanctuary, putting her special touch on the home, nurturing, caring, and loving her property ALL BY HERSELF. Maddison lives in Los Angeles, California. Mason lives in Davie, Florida. and I live in Aventura, Florida. My mom is a single woman working to create an environment for people to come seek peace, serenity, and clarity from the chaos that is beyond the magical and tranquil forest that she calls home. Open doors, open ears, and an open heart my mom has always been available to be there for her friends and family. THIS STORM HAS SHOOK HER & THE SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES. When she called and was crying about how bad the devastation was... It broke me down. I have been contacted by over 20 people about how they can help my mom. This is the only way that makes sense. We cannot get to her physically at the moment but her community is coming together to support each other. I know my mom has a community beyond her humble abode in the mountains of North Carolina. I'm creating this go fund me because the simplest donation no matter how big or small can start to create some type of relief for her. I humbly and graciously ask for her loved ones to come together to make her process easier. This is just the beginning. Rebuilding has not even begun. With this we can help her get a head start on the long journey ahead. She is going to need to use funds to fix things within her home, the infrastructure outside, leaks in the chimney, and she has bills that will continue to come in that she will need help with.
