Hurricane Helene destroyed parents home and we need help

On Thursday, 9/26/2024, Hurricane Helene destroyed my parents' home when an 80 mph+ wind gust knocked 1/3 off the top of a Norfolk Pine Tree, which impaled all the way through the home and several feet into the ground in Pinellas Park, Florida, which is in the Tampa Bay area.

My dad is a 77-year-old retired Veteran Army Ranger (also POW MIA). I'm still blown away by both of my parents' resilience. I'm so grateful my parents did not get hurt. Bless the souls of those who did not make it, and I hope everyone else gets through this disaster. This goes to show that if you are not in a hurricane's direct path, it can still cause a life-changing event.

My parents are not the type of people to ask for help, but this is where we can come together for them. They have lived here for about 20 years and have no homeowners insurance as they are retired and barely getting by. If everyone who sees this could donate even just 25 cents, we can help get them through this together. Thank you for reading this, and bless you and your loved ones!

My name is Billy Ensminger. I'm 39 years old and born and raised in Pinellas County, Florida. I'm doing this fundraiser for my parents, Bill and Keen of Pinellas Park, Florida, who have been married for over 40 years! All of the proceeds will go towards repair of their home (roof, walls, bathroom, floors, plumbing, electrical, etc.) and any excess will be sent back to the donors if allowed.
