Hurricane Dorian Relief Fund for Bahamas

Donation protected
A little background of what started this small group founded by myself. My mothers side of the family were born and raised in the Bahamas. The irony of waiting to hear from our family members was an understatement. When we gain contact them most of them, they have lost EVERYTHING but their lives were spared.  My local family and I was heartbroken by their lost and now we have become a movement fueled by people who are ready step in and give back to help my cousin Ms. Thompson and get family who were affected by Hurricane Dorian. Many of our family and friends who still reside in Abaco and Grand Bahamas have been greatly affective by the devastation that Hurricane Dorian inflicted on the islands. With that being said, the long road to rebuild our island after Dorian both short and long term is a great undertaking and we need your support to accomplish this. The monetary funds will go to support the boats and other transportation efforts to getting all material and essential to my cousin and her family (The Thompson Family) affected by the devastation of the Hurricane Dorian. We can’t do any of this without monetary funds to support our efforts. We will supply our donors with financial statements to account for every dollar donated. Money will be withdrawn to Yeasha Bentley’s personal account and promptly used to purchase all supplies and funds to transport all items bought and donated. We have teams on the ground such as Anewmotive Foundation/Headknowles Relief and Ministry of Tourism Grand Bahamas Nuvolari Chootosingh who will being assessments once the all clear is sounded. We are in communication with volunteers who are waiting to get clearance once it is safe. Hurricane Dorian slowly hit the Bahamas Island as a Category 5 Hurricane. We have received images from friends and family members who said they have experienced a great loss and total devastation. People are trapped in houses, roads are completely flooded as rescue efforts have  become difficult to reach them. In addition to monetary donations, we will be sharing drop-off locations for other items such as but not limited to Clothes, tarps, roofing materials, food, water, personal hygiene products, diapers, formula, pet supplies, paper products, pillows, blankets, sleeping bags, air mattresses, duct tape, extension cords, box fans, batteries, flashlights, cleaning supplies, first aid kits, tools, garbage bags, etc. We are also partnering with our local church College Missionary Baptist church as clothes, food, water and other much needed essentials donated and very much needed. We would be so grateful for your donation. Please join us on our quest of providing relief to the Thompson Family. You can make a difference and be the hope someone is praying for. 100% of the resources received, goes directly to the people of the Bahamas and the long road ahead to rebuild.
