As we all know and the world has now witnessed the devastating effects of hurricane Melissa, on our island of Jamaica. Among the hardest hit parishes of St. Elizabeth, Westmoreland and St. James.

My name is Jerome buchanan born and raised in Jamaica, my wife Justina and our daughter are a Jamaican and Canadian family living in south western Canada. I am from Jamaica and have many family and friends residing in the area of the disaster there, including my father.

We are seeking assistance for Westmoreland in particular and more specifically eastern Westmoreland; Upper & Lower Darliston, Content, Lennox, Bog, New Roads, and Lennox Big woods.

With the funds donated will be transferred to an Account her in Canada and used in purchasing an assortment of goods to send to Jamaica. We will purchase supplies, assemble care packages and air freight them to Jamaica for distribution.

We are working with trusted people on the ground such as Jerome backas, Jason @Jai_isfirst and Kari Buchanan who will be able to distribute everything purchased with these funds (non perishable goods, clothing, sanitary items, first aid supplies). Also funds will be allocated to help clear roads so the people in these more remote communities have better access to resources and their family members.
