Hurricane Assistance for Honduras

Honduras has been heavily affected by 8 months of closing the economy to prevent the spread of Covid-19 which had severed impacted the most marginalized and vulnerable segment of the population (kids, elderly and people with disabilities). To make matters worse in the last three weeks two major hurricanes have hit Honduras (ETA and IOTA) causing major damage to housing, food, and infrastructure and leaving many families without food, shelter and medicine.
My name is Mateo Sabio. I live in Menlo Park, California. My father is originally from Honduras and I am collecting funds to send directly to support the villages of Omoa, Milla 4, Chachaguala, Cuyamel and other small villages. The funds will be donated to the local search and rescue teams (firefighters and local Red Cross) and churches that provide temporary food and shelter where most needed. 100% of all funds will be directly donated and accounted for responsibly.
My dad is currently in Omoa and will distribute the funds and document the receipts to provide transparency.
All donations are welcome at this time. In addition, there is great need to provide clean water to prevent the spread of diseases related to contamination. Some of you supported my Eagle Project when I brought water filtration systems to Honduras and I would like to expand the use of them now.
As such we plan to purchase 100 portable filtration systems for families during this time. My goal is to collect $10K that will be locally spent with the exception of $2500 to purchase and ship the filters, which will be obtained in the USA.
