Hurricane Aid for Leslie and Archie
My name is Debbie Carroll from Plymouth, MA and I’m creating this fundraiser for two amazing individuals in need of help. Any money raised will help Leslie and Archie have a dry place to sleep and help them get their feet on the ground after the devastating hurricane.

The devastation brought on by Hurricane Ian has affected millions, including two people very dear to me.
Leslie and Archie McCormick live in North Ft. Myers, not far from the Caloosahatchee River, which rose 7 feet in the storm. For 2 days after the hurricane hit no one could reach them. Everyone feared the worse.
Eventually, Leslie was able to reach us with a text, explaining that she was okay, but Archie had been taken back to the hospital for care as he recently had internal surgery. She said the first night the couple, unable to get to the attic for safety due to Archie’s condition, took shelter on top of the island in the kitchen to avoid the rising waters, which had reached 4 feet in their single-level home.
Though the water has since retreated enough for Leslie to walk through the house, everything is a complete loss, including their pickup truck, which she now uses as a bedroom.
Their greatest need is finding a dry, livable space where Archie can continue his recuperation. Unfortunately, his health issues have all but drained their savings.
I hope you can join my family in helping this wonderful couple, who more times than I can count over the years were there for my elderly parents who lived directly across the street.
Please consider donating to these two remarkable people.
