Huron County Youth Tug-of-War Team to Represent Canada
Donation protected
This coming August, ten youth from the Bluewater Tug-of-War team are heading to the Netherlands to represent Canada at GENSB 2025, the most prestigious international youth tug-of-war tournament in the world!
GENSB — founded by Germany, England, Netherlands, Switzerland, and Belgium — brings together athletes aged 12 to 18 from across Europe and beyond, celebrating not only competitive excellence but also friendship, teamwork, and cultural exchange. It’s more than just a tournament — it’s an experience that builds character, unity, and lifelong memories.
The Bluewater Youth Team, now in their fourth year of training, are honoured to have the opportunity to test their strength and skill against top teams from around the world — but they need your help to get there.
Your donation will help cover:
- Tournament entry fees
- Team uniforms and equipment
- Flights and accommodations
- Meals and transportation in the Netherlands
Every dollar brings them one step closer to their dream of competing internationally, representing our country, and growing as athletes and individuals. No amount is too small, and every bit of support means the world to these young competitors.
If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing our story — and cheering us on as we pull for Bluewater, for Canada, and for the love of the sport!
Thank you for your support!
