Hurling Jerseys Giveaway for Irish Cancer Society

Donation protected

Cancer is a disease that will touch all of us, in some capacity. The Irish Cancer Society provide numerous services such as a night nursing service, continued cancer research, counselling, free transport for patients to chemotherapy appointments, practical advice on dealing with a cancer diagnosis and also have the added expense of funding new and expanded services to help cancer patients cope during the Covid 19 crisis.

Unfortunately, the Irish Cancer Society must raise over €20 million every year to continue to provide all its services. Irish Cancer society only gets 3% of its funding from the state so relies heavily on fundraising events such as Daffodil Day which usually raises €4 million. This year Daffodil day was cancelled, as a result the Irish Cancer Society took a huge loss and along with the Covid19 restrictions fundraising has now become very difficult.

With the help of numerous GAA hurling stars across this country I have developed a fundraiser to try generate much needed money for The Irish Cancer Society. The top hurlers in many counties throughout Ireland have kindly donated one of their own jerseys. Each jersey has been signed by the player who is donating it. For every €10 donation (please give more if you can) you will be entered into a draw for a chance to win a selection of these signed jerseys. There will be 4 winners randomly selected from the names of all those who donate; 1st prize = 4 jerseys of your choice from the 16, 2nd prize = 4 jerseys of your choice from 12 that remain, 3rd place = 4 jerseys of your choice from 8 that remain, 4th prize = 4 remaining jerseys.

Let our response show that, even in a time of crisis, Irish people are determined to protect and care for the most vulnerable people in our society!

To donate:
1.          Click the link and donate a minimum of €10 to be entered (feel free to please donate more if you can).

2.          The winners will be chosen on Friday May 1st

To get the ball rolling I have donated €100 and I would really love for you to help me out on this endeavour. Please share this post with as many people as you can.  The total amount raised will go to The Irish Cancer Society.

Thank you very much <3
