Life changing kidney transplant

Hi, my name is Dani and thank you for visiting my page! I would appreciate a few minutes of your time so you can get to know me. And to ask you for a monetary donation for my kidney transplant.

I am a wife and mom. My biggest calling in life is to be a mom. I have one of my own and I was blessed with a couple from my husband. Our kids are older now and are paving thier own way through life and creating futures for themselves. A very rewarding feeling for a parent to have. A majority of my life was spent working for my family in the restaurant industry. It taught me a lot about people, different walks of life, business and loyalty. I served for 30+ years which also allowed me to create many meaningful relationships and bonds. Currently, I work minimal hours as a hair stylist. I enjoy being able to make people feel beautiful. It's a very rewarding career. But with my symptoms, my body doesn't allow me to work long hours anymore.

I was diagnosed with renal failure in 2023. As of now, both my kidneys do not work and I rely on dialysis to keep me going. I have been fortunate enough to be placed on the active transplant list the beginning of 2024. When it's my time to get my kidney, I will be expected to stay in Utah for 4-6 weeks to make sure my body accepts my new kidney.

For those 4-6 weeks, I will making daily/weekly visits to U of U hospital make sure my body is functioning properly. Until then, I will be doing daily dialysis to keep me going. Dialysis takes 11 hours everyday. It's a part of my daily routine and have accepted this new journey of mine. But, I am looking forward to the day I can function and thrive without the support of a machine.

The funds that I'm raising will be used for transportation, living expenses and medications. The wait for my kidney could be 3 to 5 years which will allow me to financially prepare for this life changing transplant. My husband is our sole provider. The little income I make goes towards my expenses like medications, personal expenses and health notes. With this fundraiser it will allow me to be able to financially survive my stay in Utah while maintaining our home in Idaho.
