Hi my name is Holly Baldridge-Nelson. Some of you know my situation, but many of you do not. Two months ago I went to the doctor because my stomach kept hurting and was experiencing constant nausea. The doctor ordered a sonogram. What it showed was I have a very infected and diseased gall bladder that needs to be removed asap. They also found stones stuck in my common bile duct which also need to be removed asap. What I wasn't expecting was that they found spots on my liver. So that took precedence over everything else. I was sent for MRI's and CT scans. What we found out was that I have several lesions on my liver. Next step I was sent to a surgeon to decide our next step. I was told I would have to go into the hospital and have a ct guided biopsy of my liver done. Because the lesions they were after were located in a very difficult place to get, it was extremely painful as they had to go through my rib cage and could not sedate me enough. After the results came in I was told they did not get enough tissue and I would have to undergo the entire process again. I am being charged twice for these two procedures. The results are finally in and I am blessed to say at this time no malignancy has been found. The samples have now been sent to Stanford to determine what is going on in my liver. In the meantime I need the next two surgeries done.

I have been a waitress my entire life and absolutely love what I do. I feel extremely blessed to have the opportunity to work for the Holt family that own Big Sky Cafe. I have spent the last 40 plus years waiting tables. Not many people can honestly say they love what they do. I truly love being a waitress. I get to meet people from all over, nurture them with food. The down side of this profession is that health insurance is a luxury which many of us can't afford. I can't even qualify for any assistance programs. I was told I make $200 too much to qualify. The fact that a hotel is and has been being built the last three to four years across the street from the restaurant has really taken its toll on me and those I work with. Not only did they remove 85 parking spots across the street but constant construction has closed our streets over and over again. Therefore my finances are enough to keep a roof over my head and the bare essentials. 

The medical bills are coming in and are extremely overwhelming especially since I don't have health insurance. I have spent my life taking care of others and sincerely hope those of you that can, will help me. I need two have the next two surgeries asap and will have to be off work for awhile and pay all the medical bills I already incurred.
