Huntly FC Charity Challenge

From Saturday 4th July a total of 23 members of players, management and committee of Huntly FC will embark of a 7 day charity challenge whereby they will attempt to cover the distance it takes to travel to each SHFL ground from Christie Park – totaling 1307 kms or 812 miles. During the 7 days each participant will be required to complete an individual distance of 57 kms or 35.4 miles by cycling and running half of the distance. There are two fantastic charities that have been selected for the challenge and they are local Huntly charity Networks of Wellbeing and Charlie House.

Networks of Wellbeing (NoW) is an inclusive and diverse organisation which promotes and supports people in improving their mental health and wellbeing. NoW offers a recovery focused service providing 1:1 person centered support – as well as providing a wide range of opportunities designed to bring individuals, group and the wider community together to engage in activities and project aimed at increasing happiness, resilience and physical and mental wellbeing. Charlie House is a charity whose vision is that all babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions in the North-East of Scotland receive the necessary support they require from the very start of their journey, including a smooth transition from hospital to home, receiving practical and emotional support for the whole family, enjoying activities, making memories and living life to the full.
