Donation protected

This past New Years Eve (2018), thanks to a “Kid Kindness Grant” from “Kindness Grows Here,” Penelope and her mom coordinated an event in Annapolis, MD to honor first responders and the county’s Crisis Response Team, for all they do to help those suffering from a substance use disorder. More information can be found here:http://www.capitalgazette.com/neighborhoods/ac-cn-crofton-odenton-0108-story.html
In preparation for a trip to Long Island to visit family, Penelope and Erica decided to bring Hope Hunters to NY, where her cousin and family are from. They wanted to bring their handmade bookmarks to the staff of a hospital or rehabilitation center. After talking with her daughter about the idea, Penelope requested that they do something for the patients as well. Penelope asked her mom to purchase “happiness journals” so the patients could “feel better” and be reminded of all the hope that is still there. New bookmarks were created to give to the patients to encourage them to “Hunt for Hope.”
Hope Hunters now reaches both the helpers, who bring hope to others, and the individuals who continue to hunt for hope and work hard to sustain recovery.
We are looking for support to help cover future costs, as printing and laminating the bookmarks and hosting events has become a challenge for us to maintain on our own right now. Penelope wants to keep hosting events and spreading hope with her bookmarks and would love your support.
Thank you!
