Hunting for a Lifetime is a local initiative to honor the legacy of Chance Black and Zack Grooms through the gifting of Tennessee Lifetime Hunting Licenses to winning participants.

Hunting for a Lifetime is a local foundation initiative driven by the families of Chance Black and Zack Grooms with assistance from local community leaders. It is the foundations utmost goal to encourage responsible sportsmanship among young hunters and outdoorsmen. Selected recipients will be chosen based on those who exemplify the character traits of Chance Black and Zack Grooms. Traits include love of the outdoors, compliance with all licensing regulations, and respect for other hunters.

Selected recipients of a TN Lifetime Sportsman License are available to any individual between the age of 10-17 who has resided in Tennessee continuously for twelve (12) consecutive months.

Applicants MUST have also completed a TN Hunter Safety Course. If selected, you will be asked for documentation to support the data you provide.

Chance Black and Zack Grooms were both childhood best friends from Greenfield, TN that loved hunting together. That is exactly what they were doing until the end, and that is exactly what they would be doing if they could do it for a lifetime. They were both well respected within our region of Northwest Tennessee, and the impact they had on it continues to live on. Chance was a firearms manager at Final Flight Outfitters Inc, and Zack just had graduated from Bethel University. Both were planning to go into law enforcement. This foundation initiative is for their legacy to live on through what they loved most.
