Hunter's Spanish Class to Oaxaca!
Donation protected
See my daughter, Hunter's note below:
Hello friends! I am super excited to announce that I have a great opportunity to travel with my EHS Advanced Placement Spanish Class for a three week immersion program to Oaxaca. I am currently in my 4th year of Spanish and very excited for an opportunity to study the language and culture of Mexico.
Each of us will be housed with a family in a local village and will only be speaking the Spanish language throughout our trip. We will gather each morning to walk to the local school that we attend during the week and after hours and on the weekends, we will be visiting the local area and surrounding historic sites, and have a scheduled beach day at Puerto Escondido! Also Oaxaca has recently been listed as an up and coming food destination and the Quesidilla Capital of Mexico! We are all exctied to have the chance to cook and eat some amazing food!
By attending this trip, I will receive College academic credits from HSU which will benefit me with my college applications next year. As I am learning more about various cultures throughout the world, I have taken a great interest in philanthropy. I would like to continue broadening my education in the future to include Global Studies and possibly spend a college semester learning abroad.
I have currently raised $800 on my own for this 3-week trip and I am hoping that through small donations from you, my friends and family, I can raise the remaining amount to take this trip.
Thanks for for taking the time to read about my opportunity and for your help!
