Hunters search for a Home!

A lot of you know the increasing pressure financially on a household, but what we don’t see is the severe state our Rental Market is in here in Australia.

 

Bec is a 33year old Supermum to 3 Beautiful kids. Hunter is 14, and she has 2 daughters aged 9 and 2 also. She has been in her current Rental for 7 years. The house is perfect. It’s their home. However the owners now want it back.

 

Securing another Rental is incredibly difficult in these times, but what makes it harder, is Becs 14 yr old son, Hunter suffers from a Rare condition, Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, which has left him Wheelchair bound. He spends all his free time playing the likes of Forza, Fortnite, and Minecraft and that’s his escape.

 

Bec is SUPERMUM and refuses to rely on the government, working fulltime whilst also being a carer for Hunter, and a fulltime single Mum of 3.

 

She has almost exhausted all options and has a small window in which she needs to be out of her property. With nowhere to go, she turned to the Department of housing, only to be met with a “you earn too much we can’t help”. A wage for a team leader in aged care is not by any means a big pay check, it’s an honest living to cover the necessities. They gave her 2 options basically - quit her job to qualify, or place Hunter into a care facility. How is this right? Tell someone who’s trying to

raise the next generation to go sit at home, and take the example she’s giving to her 3 children away.

 

the aim of this page is to Either Raise enough to Purchase a home for Bec and the Kids to take that added stress off her, or at the very least, to have a substantial sum to build up in her account to make her more appealing to a prospective landlord.

 

It is true it takes a village to raise a child!
